Issue No 16 – 20th January 2023.

Dear Friends, Followers of this Website across our World,

Sincere greetings to you all whereever you may be……

Firstly I must excuse myself for not writing sooner for which my apologies, (however due to medical reasons as I approach my 90th birthday).

Secondly, my grateful thanks for all your posted comments which confirm to me that those of us without a direct voice to our National Politicians, are sharing quite intense feelings of helplessness and dismay that our World’s biggest problem above all others, Global Warming, does not receive anywhere near sufficient support and attention it so obviously deserves.

Since writing the last issue (No 15), recent events confirm that Climate Change continues with ever more increasing calamities providing obvious evidence that we are not doing enough to combat it. A few countries however, stand out as exemplary examples of national effort, as we can occasionaly read about in the Press.

Unfortunately it is not National results that will be fully effective in the long run, however necessary they are at present….

ONCE AGAIN I MAKE ANOTHER PLEA TO ALL OF OUR WORLD LEADERS:

COME TOGETHER IN PERMANENT COMMITTEE (UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDANCE OF THE UNITED NATIONS) TO SOLVE THOSE PROBLEMS WHICH WE KNOW ARE NECESSARY BUT WHICH ARE NOT TACKLED EFECTIVELY FOR UNDERLYING POLITICAL REASONS SUCH AS:

FINANCIAL COST, PRESENTLY UNACCEPTALE SOLUTIONS DUE TO DISCOMFORT FOR CERTAIN COUNTRIES, POLITICAL NATIONAL DIFFERENCES, POOR COUNTRIES LACK OF ABILITY TO FINANCE CHANGE. AND MANY MORE REASONS KNOWN TO POLITICIANS ACROSS THE WORLD (eg. Russia – Ukraine War)

It is glaringly obvious that our worldwide problem of Climate Change is a huge one which can only to be resolved on a global basis (meaning all Political Ideals must be left at a lower priotity until the global problem can be resolved – at least neutralised). It will require military based organisation meaning that fair and validated actions MUST be carried out by the country or countries concerned probably with penalties for non compliance.

I can only see this being possible by the acceptance of all Countries, organised by agreement with the United Nations, to put their National Politics at a second level. Preventing Climate Change must take No 1 priority in the running of all Countries. It will start with the forming of a Permanent Council formed by Leaders (or representatives) of each Country and with the full authority of the Leaders of each respective Country.

The big CLIMATE CHANGE problem to be (or as is already broken down) into managable groups with sufficient scientific back up knowledge to tackle each problem is certainly mostly at hand. The difference will be and must be…..

THE POLITICAL WILL TO ACHIEVE THE RESULT.

I personally feel that the required political will is lacking at present – notwithstanding that the whole future of the World’s next generations will become the recipients of ever increasing disasters.

NEWS

Scientists in USA are developing a way to cleanly create a nuclear fusion that is expected to provide excess of the worlds need of elecrical power. Just mgine the benefits that would bring…..

As the target for the world to reduce CO2 (fossil fuel emissions) by 1,5% has not been achieved we can expect an increasing number of disasters world wide.

If World Leaders provide a soldarity pact (cost what it costs) now to accelerate and prioritise laws literally enforcing the reduction / elimination of CO2 emmisions, we just maybe able to manage the future. time is of the element, ….. So please, please, dear Mr Polititian:

SAVE THE WORLD NOW – WE CAN AND WE MUST —–

REPEAT

SAVE THE WORLD NOW - WE CAN AND WE MUST !

Every other political subject must be by far very very much lower on your list of priorities….are they ?

Sincerely,

Gordon.
