Dear Friends across our World,
Greetings to you all.
Sadly, with tears in my eyes, I must report that we are headed for economy destroying levels of Global heating.
For over a year now we have urged our Politicians to come together to fight against all things that destroy our natural World.
We have continuously highlighted the dangers the whole world is facing and begged our politicians to get together, under the UN umbrella to combat Global Warming and Pollution even suggesting they operate on a ‘wartime’ footing, so urgent was the situation.
Now, during the last few days, the hard working United Nations admits that the targets per country are not being met. Politicians worldwide have failed to recognise and to act to combat the biggest problem facing our World.
Global warming is a worldwide problem and the time of thinking nationally, protectively must change.
A world ‘military’ council of all country leaders with power to override national decisions, is required immediately and must work in military fashion in the war against global warming.
Whilst we, the world’s inhabitants, will all soon be a victim of the ‘non action’ of our Politicians, we must assume that our human form of existence will continue even though they will be faced with extreme heat conditions as well as flooding, fires, higher sea levels, tempestuous weather conditions, starvation etc. etc.
It is not in our human nature to sit back and let it all happen.
Although it is already too late for staving off the target of 1.5 degrees C, we can, at least, try to contain, perhaps reverse, such conditions.
THIS MUST BE OUR IMMEDIATE GOAL – THIS TIME DEAR POLITICINS, PLEASE ACT NOW.
I close on a note of optimism. I have a small lawn of green grass in my little garden which, due to extreme summer heat and drought of many weeks, turned yellow and dry.
I was extremely gutted and I was sure it would never recover. Weeks later some rain fell and we saw, here and there, sign of regrowth. Nature was at work. Our little lawn has meanwhile fully recovered and is once again a brilliant green.
The Moral of this story is:
NATURE CURES HERSELF UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS. ACHIEVING THOSE CONDITIONS IS THE IMMEDIATE TASK OF OUR POLITICIANS. HEADS OF STATE. PLEASE SHOW YOUR WORTH AND CONCENTRATE YOUR POLITICAL POWERS, NOT ON NATIONALISM, RATHER WITH YOUR INTERNATIONAL COLLEAGES HEADS OF STATE TO COMBAT, PERHAPS REVERSE, GLOBAL HEATING.
ACT NOW AND TOGETHER WITH THE WAR ON GLOBAL WARMING
WE WILL FOLLOW AND SUPPORT.
