Many thanks for your so many positive and encouraging comments, I am a little overwhelmed by them however also motivated, as you show how much so many of you care about getting our home, our World, back to a harmonious and natural state where we all, particularly our Youth, can live in harmony with Nature in all its aspects. That must be our very first goal above all else….
Sadly, and once again, I must report that the necessary urgency required right now, is still lacking among those who are in the front line of actions
I regret to have to say to our worldwide Politicians….
YOU ARE ALL FAILING TO ASSUME
THE NECESSARY LEVELS OF RESPONSIBILTY AND ACTION
TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE
Of course they may not be blamed individually, because we are facing a Task of enormous proportions, which cannot be overseen by any one person except by an existing authority based on a commune of all Nations.
Our existing example, the United Nations, in its current form and organisation, is doing amazingly good work around the World and for that they are respected and admired.
The question is: Can they, with their current organisational set up, provide effective solutions to combat Climate Change…..
Whilst they are, no doubt, doing their utmost, it seems to me (and perhaps also to them) that they will not realise their goals in due time. In the most recent Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United Sates of America held this month, three large Nations, Russia, China, and India did not attend and their respective populations were not represented.
The population of these three countries is approximately:
Russia: 1,460 Billion
China: 1,425 Billion
India: 1,419 Billion
Total 4,304 Billion OR 55% OF THE WORLDS POPULATION
When we think of the United Nations we would like to imagine all Nations coming together to achieve Peace and Prosperity for our World.
The United Nations appeal in opening the General Assembly by the Secretary General Mr Antonio Guterres ( whose name interprets in English as ‘Good Earth’) rightly said:
(Quote) The General Assembly is meeting at a time of great peril. Our world is blighted by war, battered by climate chaos, scarred by hate, and shamed by poverty, hunger, and inequality. The gathering of world leaders in New York must provide hope through dialogue, debates and concrete plans to overcome divisions and crises.(Unquote)
It seems to me that we all, World Citizens, down on our knees if necessary, must make one great appeal to those who are responsible and influential….
ALL LEADING STATESMEN AROUND THE WORLD…. WE HUMBLY ASK….GATHER TOGETHER WITH THE SCIENTISTS AND SPECIALISTS TO FORM A SINGLE GUIDING AUTHORITY WHICH CAN EFFECTIVELY COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE AND PREVENT THE EVER INCREASING DISASTERS WE CAN EXPECT TO FACE IN THE NEARBY FUTURE.
RALLYE TOGETHER QUICKLY, FORGETTING (DELEGATING) YOUR DAILY POLITICS. WE THE ORDINARY WORLD INHABITANT, WILL ENDURE WHATEVER IT TAKES IN TERMS OF BEARABLE HARDSHIPS….
DEAR MR POUTIN, WE RESPECTFULLY ASK YOU TO PLEASE APPEASE THE WHOLE WORLD, INCLUDING YOUR OWN COUNTRY INHABITANTS, BY GRACIOUSLY ENDING THE WAR AND RETURNING THE MILITARY TO PREVIOUS BORDERS. YOU WILL GAIN THE RESPECT OF THE WHOLE WORLD BY TAKING SUCH AN HISTORIC STEP FOR THE GOOD OF HUMAN KIND.
OTHER NATIONS AROUND THE WORLD WHO ARE IN (VERBAL) CONFLICT WILL ACCEPT YOUR EXAMPLE AND SUPPORT YOUR MOMENTOUS STEP AND THROUGH YOUR BRAVE DECISION, ALSO GAIN THE ADMIRATION OF THE WHOLE WORLD.
OUR WORLD IS AT STAKE….
